SED Recycling Award for Excellence: Updated 17thApril 2008

It’s lean, it’s mean and now it’s officially SED’s favourite green machine!
The BAVTRAK 025 beat a record number of entries in the recycling category for the UK’s most innovative new products.
Director of Digbits Marcus Clay attended the presentation lunch at the SED headquarters in Surrey to collect the award, he said: “It’s a fantastic achievement to have won such a highly competitive category.
“We launched the BAVTRAK 025 in October last year and our success is down to a real team effort, not just from our amazing in-house team, but also from our suppliers, dealers and customers, who’ve backed us all the way.
“Everyone recognises how important recycling has become on all developments and for our contribution in the crushing sector to be recognised in this way is terrific.”

Top Product Award: Updated 4th January 2008
The BAVTRAK range has been voted Top Plant & Equipment Product of 2007, by the readers of Professional Builder magazine.
The award, gauged by the level of reader response feedback, provides a clear indication of the rising interest and awareness in on-site rubble recycling within the construction industry.
With the new Site Waste Management Plans (SWMPs) coming into force this year, there is a clear recognition that the old methods of dealing with rubble will give way to more environmentally sustainable use.
This in turn indicates that the BAVTRAK presents an opportunity both for larger contractors - to buy a machine in order to generate savings and comply with tightening legislation - and also for hirers, who will find a ready and rapidly growing rental market.

Into the Green: Updated 7th December 2007
The organisers of the Executive Hire Show have announced a new "Green Zone" for the 2008 exhibition.
DIGBITS is delighted that the BAVTRAK 025 has made it to the final list of eight products, which will be on display in a dedicated area at the Coventry show in February 2008.
The finalists were selected by an independant panel of judges, comprised of;

EHN Editor, Alan Guthrie
Supply UK Hire Shops Managing Director, Richard Coffey
SHC (Skipton Hire Centres) Director and Chairman of HAE
(Hire Association Europe), Claire Gains
Construction News, Group Plant and Technical Editor, Andrew Gaved.
Products selected for inclusion within the Green Zone at the Show had to demonstrate their ability to improve energy efficiency, conserve or recycle resources, thus reducing waste - all helping to protect our environment. The winner will be voted for at the show.

BAVTRAK 009 Launch: Updated 11th January 2007
The next generation of our tracked micro crusher will be unveiled later this month at the Executive Hire Show, Ricoh Arena, Coventry.

The new model - still a true micro class machine, at under 1000kg - will be available with a choice of powerful engines:
13hp Honda petrol
10.5hp Hatz diesel
Productivity gains of over 80% , result not only from the more powerful engines (the base BAVTRAK micro has a 6hp petrol), but also an advanced hydraulic system.
Whilst the crusher body remains unchanged the chassis is new from the ground up, designed and manufactured entirely by DIGBITS. Features such as independant hydraulic drive to each track, with self-braking motors make the machine even easier to maneouvre.
The unique, patented safety hopper system remains, making this the ideal tool for recycling concrete on compact domestic and industrial sites - even indoors - being powerful enough for regular commercial use, and sufficiently user-friendly to be considered a DIY hire machine. |
