DIGBITS has been involved with motorsport, and more specifically TVRs, for several years and on a variety of levels.

Our initial involvement followed the purchase of a TVR Griffith by one of DIGBITS company directors, Marcus Clay in 1998.

It soon became clear that the lower front driving lamps were vulnerable to damage and, following exhaustive research with TVR dealers (and even motorbike accessory shops) we discovered there were no suitable 'guards' on the market.

So partly as a way of solving our own problem, but also as a service to fellow TVR owners, we started to make headlamp guards - initially for the Griffith, but with other models following as demand arose.

When Marcus began competing in the TVR Car Club Speed Championships (TVRCCSC) and Midland Speed Championships the next challenge - producing a strong, but lightweight timing strut - resulted in another product.

Following on with our participation in 'grass roots' motorsport, with the TVRCCSC, we were also involved with the Peninsula TVR T400R GT race car during the 2004 season.

See us on the circuit in 2006:

Having enjoyed modest success in the 2004 season, with two third in class awards and a 4th overall in class in the Midland Speed Championship, 2005 was a disappointment. Time (and budget) spent repairing the car following a major accident effectively put paid to the season, so a decision was taken to spend the year concrentrating on fully preparing the car for 2006...
